"Heliotropia" Kindergarten consists of 25 children, aged 4-5 years. They are buzzing kids with imaginative ideas, good mood and great curiosity... How did our participation begin??? On the occasion of World Hug Day, on 21 January a work project on the subject of hugs was launched.Through various actions and music-motor activities, the Pre-Kindergartens concluded that hugs are important in our lives and give us strength. So to celebrate hug day we decided to take part in the radio competition and talk about what else....hugs. The kindergarten teachers explained to the little friends that we can do it either by writing a song or by creating a kind of radio show. After a vote, the guys decided to create our own podcast. So, the planning began. The teachers, by asking the appropriate questions and encouraging the children, recorded their answers and ideas.Also, the "Heliotropia" suggested that we search the internet for more information about hugging. They also wanted us to write a song for the closing of the show. The thoughts about the words and the music are many... And finally ... our Lilliputian students managed to create in their own unique way a podcast episode.
It is their first attempt and the curiosity and joy was great. The topic they discuss is the power of the hug. What does the word "hug" mean and why do we hug, according to our little friends??? What are its benefits??? Their answers are apt and at the same time funny.Their excitement to speak on a radio microphone is indescribable. We then decided on the title of the radio show and the children, using the canvas app, made the poster.

Our dear friends!! We are "Heliotropia" Toddlers from Larissa. We are delighted to welcome you to the first episode of our podcast.

But when do we hug???
 When we want to show our love…
 When we want to show someone we care…
 To give joy...
 To make the sadness go away from the person we hug...
But what does the hug mean to us, the young students from the "Heliotropia" Kindergarten?
 A hug is when we open our arms and embrace someone we love.
 The hug is like a soft quilt. It gives us warmth and security.
 The hug is like a warm nest. He protects us.
 Hugging drives all sorrow and distress away.
Hug looks like my mom.
 A hug is as delicious as a warm loaf of bread.
 The hug is as happy as a big smile.
 The hug is colorful like the rainbow.
 The hug is like a super hero that banishes fear from the heart.
 The hug reminds me of "I love you" from dad and mom.
 The hug is something... magical!!!
