Our Podcast is an interview of  the three famous personalities Mari Curie, Albert Einstein and Maria Callas. They  introduce themselves to the audience and they explain  how they managed to overcome all the obstacles that they faced up in their lives. They urge young people to believe themselves, never give up and try always to make their dreams come true.

Have you been hurt by negative comments from those around you? 
Do you believe you have  been treated unfairly when you deserve more?
Do not be discouraged! We all excel at something; we just need to discover it and believe in ourselves. Today, we are joined by three remarkable personalities who pursued their dreams, overcame obstacles, ignored negative criticism, and followed the path of their hearts without fear but with passion. Let's get to know them:

She was born in Warsaw, the capital of Poland. Her parents were teachers, and so, from a very young age, she developed a love for knowledge. At school, she was an outstanding student and her greatest desire was to study physics at the University. However, this was not easy for her, as at that time, the University of Warsaw did not admit girls, and her parents did not have enough money to send her abroad for studies.
But she didn't give up, she wanted to study and she made it happen. How? She will explain it to us herself.
-Madame Marie Curie, welcome!
-Thank you! I am really happy to be among such distinguished guests.
- Tell me, how did you make your dream come true? How did you manage to go to Paris and even study at the University of the Sorbonne?
- My sister and I have always been very close and we both adore knowledge. So, we decided to help each other. First, Bronya went to Paris while I was working in Warsaw. All the money I earned, I sent to my sister so she could study. Once she completed her studies, it was my turn. She worked and paid for my education.
- How was life for you in Paris? We all know it is a very expensive city!
- All I did throughout my studies was study. My meals consisted only of bread and butter and of course, i didn't have any heating to keep warm.
- Did you ever think about giving up and returning to Poland?
- Absolutely not. My passion for science was much greater than my hunger. I was happy to be able to attend my classes. Life is not easy for any of us. But what of that? We must have perseverance and, above all, confidence in ourselves.
- There was someone in your life who believed in you when everyone else dismissed you as a researcher because you were a woman, your husband, Pierre Curie.
- Indeed, Pierre and I were united by many things, especially our love for science. We managed to set up a small laboratory where we could conduct our own experiments. It was in that small laboratory that I discovered radium and polonium.
- Your husband was a devoted admirer of yours. He passionately defended you when the Swedish Royal Academy of Sciences refused to award you the Nobel Prize because you were a woman.
- Pierre threatened that if the prize was not awarded to me, he would not accept his own. That is how I became the first woman to win a Nobel Prize.
- Your contribution to science was especially significant during World War I. Thanks to you, many soldiers were treated.
- In my efforts to alleviate suffering, I used X-rays powered by the radioactive elements I had discovered. These rays allowed us to see the internal injuries of soldiers so that doctors could treat them more effectively.
- Were you ever afraid for your life? Your discoveries were very useful, but the radioactive elements you devoted years of study and research have harmful effects on the human body.
- Nothing in life is to be feared; it is only to be understood. We must try to understand more so that we may fear less. 
-One thing is certain: our next guest was never afraid in his life. 
He was born in Ulm ( Germany) to Jewish parents. His life was full of energy and electricity but also a lot of music. From a very young age, he was taught two things: patience and the violin. As he himself said, music helps him think. The early years of his life were not brilliant. He was not particularly good at school not because he  didn't study or he didn't understand but because he didn't like the way the lessons were taught. He spoke late and was very shy. No one could have imagined back then that he would become one of the greatest minds in history.
-	Mr. Albert Einstein, it is a great honor for us to have you with us.
-	Thank you very much for the invitation.
-	Tell us, why didn't you like school?
-	Because at school, we always had to follow orders, and we were not allowed to ask questions. How can you learn something if you do not understand why? After all, education is not the learning of facts but the training of the mind to think.
-	So, from a young age, you were searching for answers about what happens in the world.
-	Exactly. The spark for this came from a compass my father gave me for my fourth birthday.
-	When you finished your studies in Physics, did you immediately work in the field that interested you?
-	Not exactly! My professors did not consider me a good student because I questioned the theories of great scientists like Newton.
-	Did the negative comments from your professors discourage you from seeking answers to your questions?
-	Of course not! Let me tell you something: two things are infinite,  the universe and human stupidity. And I am not sure about the universe. I never stopped researching. Even when I was rejected by the university as a researcher, I did not give up. I took advantage of the fact that my job gave me a lot of free time to focus on my studies.
-	And that is how you discovered that space and time do not always remain the same. However, the Nobel Prize in Physics that was awarded to you was not for this theory of relativity but for the discovery of the law of the photoelectric effect.
-	The truth is that the theory of the relativity of space and time did not convince all of my colleagues.
-	We all know now, Mr. Einstein, that your ideas were absolutely correct, even though they spoke about relativity. Despite all those who doubted you, you remained devoted to your views.
-	My dear, if you can not explain something simply, then you do not understand it well enough. I always try to find explanations. It is not that I am so smart. It is just that I stay with problems longer.
-	Do we all stay with problems longer?
-	 I do not know about you, but our last guest has certainly insisted and managed to overcome any problem that tried to stand in the way of what she wanted to pursue in her life.
She was born in New York to Greek parents. Her name is Anna Maria Cecilia Sophia Kalogeropoulou. From a young age, she loved theater and music. Her love for music was so great that, when her life was in danger, she managed to overcome it thanks to music.
-	 Madame Callas, welcome!
-	Thank you for having me!
-	Tell us, how did music save your life?
-	One day, when I was 5 years old, I was on the street with my mother and sister, and suddenly, I crossed a pedestrian crossing without looking. A car hit me and threw me several meters away. I was in a coma for twenty-one days and during that entire time, I kept hearing the songs my mother used to play for us at home. When I woke up, I announced to my parents that I wanted to become a great soprano.
-	How did you manage to achieve your dream?
-	Through hard work! I managed to enter the Athens Conservatory, where I was the youngest student.
-	Did the fact that you were the youngest discourage you?
-	Not at all. On the contrary, it motivated me to study every day and rehearse a lot, as a result I stood out. At the age of 15, I was offered the leading role in the opera Cavalleria Rusticana.
-	Were there any moments when you felt disappointment or anger? And if so, how did you handle them?
-	 From my childhood  I understood that people did not always have good judgment. So I had to either do what everyone else did or follow what I knew was the right thing. When World War II broke out I found joy only in singing. At that time  my payment was a plate of food but I was still happy because I was doing what I loved.
Do you believe in luck or in hard work and effort?
- I believe in both. When you work hard and love what you do luck smiles at you more easily. For me luck smiled the day the lead singer of an opera to be performed at the Venice Opera fell ill. The  managers of the opera asked me to replace her because I was the only one who could memorize such a large piece in just one week.
-	  Thanks to this achievement, the whole Italy came to know you and from then on they started calling you  La Divina the divine one.

-	What would you recommend to young people?
-	Discover what you love and follow your heart.

-	Mr. Einstein?

-	There are only two ways to live your life: one is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle. Choose the second way!

-	Madame Curie?

-	Never let others tell you how far you can go!
